UP SD70M's 2002 and 2001 lead the Olympic Torch Special as it rolls to a stop at Santa Clara. The torch flame isn't actually on board at this point; the flame left the train at San Luis Obispo the night before so that the relay could come up the coastline. The Torch Special stopped at most passenger stations for short periods of time; it spent 10 minutes at San Jose and then 10 minutes here at Santa Clara.
