Here is a San Diegan with plenty of power. On September 23, 1995, F40PH's 229 and 220 bracket 5 Amfleets on train #578 at Los Nietos, CA. One of the cab cars normally used is missing and has been replaced by an extra engine. Since these are first order F40PH's, they have small (700HP) HEP generators, so there is over 5000HP available for traction.
